Position Overview
The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all engineering, construction, and installation activities for airport-related projects comply with applicable standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing quality management processes, conducting inspections, preparing quality documentation, and supporting the project team in delivering high-quality outputs within defined timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans and procedures in accordance with international standards and airport regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards.
- Monitor construction activities and ensure alignment with the project's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Review and validate material submittals, method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality-related reports.
Project Documentation
- Prepare and maintain quality records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive action reports (CAPA), and quality logs.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed to meet audit and handover requirements.
- Coordinate with design and technical teams to clarify specifications and address quality concerns.
Testing & Verification
- Oversee material testing and laboratory activities to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Witness inspections, tests, and commissioning activities related to airside and landside facilities, including pavements, terminals, utilities, and specialized airport systems.
Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with contractors, consultants, regulatory authorities, and internal teams to manage and resolve quality-related issues.
- Participate in progress meetings, technical discussions, and quality workshops to support continuous improvement.
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality standards and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
✅ Holder of a
post-graduate degree (e.g., MS Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field).
✅
5 to 12 years of combined experience in
design and construction supervision of airport facilities, including terminals, runways, taxiways, utilities, and systems.
✅ Strong background in
specification preparation, cost estimation, and evaluation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related engineering discipline.
- Professional license (e.g., Civil Engineer or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of international standards (ICAO, FAA, IATA, NEC, ISO 9001).
- Experience in major infrastructure or aviation projects.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
