AFC Site Engineer (Automatic Fare Collection System)

Job Description:

The AFC Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing all AFC site deliverables and support on related civil works from design, installation, testing, and commissioning of the Automatic Fare Collection System (AFC) through to the Defects Notification Period (DNP) or Warranty Period.

The role ensures that all infrastructure requirements are properly prepared, constructed, and compliant for AFC equipment installation at NSCR stations. The position also ensures the reliability, durability, accuracy, and usability of the AFC equipment and supporting infrastructure.

The Engineer shall oversee quality assurance and quality control activities related to AFC equipment and associated civil works, including laboratory and onsite testing, process improvements, and compliance with applicable industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.

The role also includes providing AFC site support and troubleshooting fault reports through to closure of defects, ensuring all issues are resolved within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). Degree in Computer Science or other Engineering disciplines may be considered if relevant to AFC systems.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in civil/site engineering, preferably in railway or infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting system installation works such as AFC, signaling, telecommunications, or MEP coordination is an advantage.
• Knowledge of civil and construction methods and finishing works.
• Familiarity with material testing standards and quality control procedures.
• Knowledge in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Basic understanding of electrical testing procedures.

Location: Makati (office); Valenzuela AND Malolos (site)

Schedule: Day shift

Setup: Hybrid (2-3x a week onsite)
