AFC Site Engineer (Automatic Fare Collection System) based in
Makati City.
Salary Range: ₱75,000 - ₱80,000

The role
The
AFC Site Engineer is responsible for the on-site execution, supervision, and coordination of
Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system installation across railway and infrastructure projects.
This role covers the full lifecycle—from site preparation and installation to testing, commissioning, and defect resolution.
Your Responsibilities
Site Installation & Supervision
- Supervise daily AFC installation activities including equipment mounting, cabling, containment works, and system interface readiness
- Lead subcontractors and installation teams to ensure proper sequencing, quality, safety, and productivity
- Conduct site inspections and prepare daily accomplishment reports with documentation
- Validate site conditions against drawings and raise RFIs or propose practical solutions
Engineering Coordination & Documentation
- Interpret AFC-related drawings (power diagrams, network topology, wiring, and interface layouts)
- Coordinate with civil, MEPF, and other system teams to ensure smooth integration
- Implement approved shop drawings, method statements, and installation procedures
- Support as-built documentation, punch lists, and project close-out requirements
Quality Assurance / Quality Control
- Ensure all works comply with approved designs, specifications, and industry standards
- Perform inspections of incoming materials and equipment
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), site defects, and corrective actions
- Maintain proper quality documentation and test records
Testing & Commissioning Support
- Perform and support electrical testing (voltage checks, insulation resistance, continuity, grounding)
- Assist in pre-commissioning and system readiness checks
- Support FAT/SAT activities, integration testing, and defect resolution
- Troubleshoot site issues and ensure timely closure of punch list items
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Enforce safety protocols including PPE compliance, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work systems
- Identify hazards and ensure safe working conditions on site
Planning & Coordination
- Assist in material take-offs and monitor usage of site materials
- Coordinate with project stakeholders including engineers, contractors, and client representatives
- Participate in site meetings and provide updates on progress, risks, and action items
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in site engineering or construction (railway/infrastructure projects preferred)
- Experience supporting installation of AFC, telecom, signaling, or MEP systems is an advantage
- Strong understanding of construction methods, site execution, and finishing works
- Basic knowledge of electrical testing procedures (IR, continuity, grounding, etc.)
- Familiarity with QA/QC processes, material inspections, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
- Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to work on-site and handle field-based responsibilities
