Job Summary
Supports general business operations by providing various administrative support activities as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines in the Administrative Services Function. Performs routine assignments in the entry level to a professional job progression. Requires a college or university degree or the equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts. Receives instruction, guidance and direction from others.
Job Responsibilities
- Edit and process contents for print and electronic publications in accordance with production cycle time and product quality requirements.
- Review content for sense and conformity to LN House Style, proofreading legal content, making style corrections and ensuring adherence of product style guides.
- Work with offshore Practice Area Lead—supplying content for conversion and quality checking returned offshore work.
- Liaise with several teams throughout the business including Practice Area Managers and Practice Area Leads.
- Responsible for basic administrative and organizational tasks required to ensure timely completion of products and projects.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all scheduled deliverables.
- Meet and/or exceed established quality and production metrics.
- Monitor, track and report on status of work to stakeholders for publications and products
- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation, training and evaluating work of other group members.
- Participate in or lead project efforts assigned by Operations Supervisor.
- Assist production and development staff with functionality enhancements.
- Identify and implement new processes and procedural opportunities.
The Function Is Accountable In Managing The Following Areas
Editing and Publishing Tasks
- Edit contents and apply house style.
- Proofread cases and spot errors in case judgments and headnotes.
- Apply and edit XML mark-up for core content.
- Perform tagging, mark-ups, formatting and graphics.
- Send service to press on time.
Project Management
- Ensure that services/contents/products are published on time and quality levels are met.
- Communicate well with Practice Area Lead and provide clear, concise and knowledgeable information on books/contents/ services in production.
- Promote good relationship with editors and other external resources in resolving any issues, highlighted concerns to meet SLAs.
- Collaborate with the stakeholder to provide assistance on matters pertaining to project management.
- Perform other editorial tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- 1–2 years of BPO, shared services, or related experience preferred
- Fresh graduates may also be considered based on communication skills and overall potential
- Proficiency with standard computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet applications)
- Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements, hybrid/onsite setups, and rotating work schedules
- Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives
