Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- At least 2 years of experience in Product Feasibility, Pricing, and Reserve Valuation.
- Familiarity with the Pre-Need industry and Insurance Commission (IC) regulations is a significant advantage.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis; experience with actuarial modeling software is a plus.
Job Description
- Conducts valuation of actuarial reserves for pre-need plans
- Data Analysis
- Gather, validate, and analyze data (e.g., policyholders, claims, lapses)
- Maintain accurate records and databases
- Perform basic statistical analysis
- Product & Pricing Assistance
- Assist in product pricing and review of assumptions
- Profitability and sensitivity analysis and finance
- Lead the product development studies
- Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with guidelines from the Insurance Commission
- Prepare reports required for regulatory submissions
- Coordinate with departments for data and analysis
- Process Improvement
- Automation and improvement of actuarial models and tools
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Update underwriting guidelines
