The Acquisition Associate Risk Officer manages and mitigates credit risk across the Consumer Secured and SME portfolio. This role involves deep analytical work, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the health and performance of the portfolio focusing on acquisition credit cycle
Duties and Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Evaluation
- Demonstrates working knowledge of the credit risk lifecycle, with a focus on acquisition and credit evaluation for Consumer Secured (Auto and Mortgage) and SME products .
- Providing expert analysis and recommendations coming from credit risk perspective to the business and functional line. Develop tools for analysis and presentation to internal Risk team and other functional units.
- Implement and independent monitoring of risk tools and recommend new policies/processes as required.
- Performs routine assessments and contributes to risk-related decision-making.
Policy & Process Development
- Supports the development and periodic review of credit policies, processes, and controls related to portfolio and account management, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and business objectives.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for process or policy improvements and provides actionable recommendations.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develops and enhances acquisition risk reports using tools such as R or Python to identify potential credit risks, analyze trends, and recommend actionable strategies to improve portfolio performance.
- Presents data-driven analysis and recommendations from a credit risk perspective to internal risk teams, business and functional stakeholders, supporting sound decision-making
Independent Execution
- Operates with minimal supervision, managing assigned tasks and contributing to broader team objectives with accountability and initiative
Project Involvement
- Supports projects or project components, supporting the implementation of risk strategies and contributing to ongoing initiatives
Functional Engagement
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, providing strategic guidance on the execution of risk recommendations and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or related fields
- Knowledge of creditrisk lifecycle, especially acquisitionstage evaluation
- Experience or familiarity with analytical tools such as R, Python, or SQL
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and data interpretation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with crossfunctional team
