You'll be the steady hand behind daily payment posting, billing portal management, and account reconciliation for a growing environmental services company, working hours that align with a US-based finance team.

This is a strong fit if you enjoy the detail work of AR: chasing down unapplied credits, keeping remittance documentation airtight, and making sure billing keeps pace with every new account win. You'll work closely with a collaborative AR team, cross-training on new customer and property setups while lending support to larger data integration projects as the client's portfolio grows.

YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related financial role
• Working knowledge of accounting software and billing or invoicing systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort with high-volume data entry
• A solid grasp of accounting principles and AR practices
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation
• Clear, confident communication skills for customer and cross-team collaboration

STRONG SIGNALS

• Certification in bookkeeping or accounts receivable management
• Experience with ACH remittance processing and billing portal uploads
• Exposure to multi-property or multi-entity billing structures
• Prior involvement in acquisition-related data scrubbing or system integrations

RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS

Payment Processing & Reconciliation

You own the accuracy of every payment that hits the books.

• Post ACH and check payment batches and daily deposits, keeping remittance documentation organized and audit-ready
• Research and resolve payment posting errors, duplicate payments, and unapplied credits
• Monitor failed transactions and special billing email logs, flagging issues before they escalate
• Save and file ACH remittance emails according to process

Billing Operations & Portal Management

You keep billing accurate and moving, account by account.

• Manage and maintain customer special billing requirements
• Upload invoices to billing portals and manage portal access and setup
• Review and send enhancement invoices, follow up on exceptions, and run weekly enhancement audits
• Review the weekly sales vs. loss report to set up billing templates for new wins and stop billing for cancellations

Account Support & Customer Coordination

You're the point person when an account needs a closer look.

• Conduct account audits to address customer and branch administrator inquiries
• Follow up with customers on remittance and payment method changes
• Cross-train with AR team members on new customer and property setup, billing templates, and contact updates
• Support acquisition data scrubbing for large-scale integrations
