This role reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and will play an integral and supportive
role in our accounting department with a focus on supporting the accounts payable business
process. In Addition, this position will support month-end tasks. The key functions of this role
include but are not limited to the following:
What you'll do:
Regularly create settlement runs in Workday to settle our payables.
Record payments in our Workday system matching bank statements for direct debits.
Create journal entries recording and classifying expenses in the correct ledger.
Record the company's credit card transactions via a journal entry EIB.
Maintain and update our Supplier records in our system.
Regularly participate in meetings where we coordinate action plans relating to accounting
treatment or compliance with business partners.
Review Non-Po and PO Invoices with correct GL accounts and departments, ensuring
proper entry into the financial system.
Manage and verify expense reports, ensuring their compliance with company policies.
Investigate and resolve problems associated with the processing of invoices
and expense reports.
Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external
inquiries concerning payment status.
Resolve discrepancies related to invoices to appropriate vendors or points of contact.
Assist with monthly closings, preparation of support, and tasks as required
to support the Accounting Department.
Potential ad-hoc projects and assignments.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any relevant or related course
3+ years of Staff Accountant role (Preferable supporting payables) experience required
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience with ERP Systems (Workday familiarity is a plus)
Experience creating and submitting Journal entries
Experience with the P.O.s and three-way match processes preferred
Strong organizational skills and ability to own and follow up on issues until completion
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be comfortable with calls and meetings participation
Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Possession of critical thinking and problem-solving skill
