Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Specialist at SPCE Corp., you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts payable operations within our Real Estate project division.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Management:

  • Process and verify invoices related to RPT, HOA dues, third-party vendors, insurances, and commissions.
  • Schedule and prepare checks, resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
  • Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments as needed.

Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:

  • Maintain vendor files and account balances, ensuring accuracy in reporting and documentation.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to clarify any questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure terms are met to avoid service disruptions.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly reports.
  • Continue to improve the payment process and work closely with the procurement department to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly.

Compliance and Controls:

  • Adhere to established company accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with financial and tax audits, and implement any necessary corrective actions related to accounts payable processes.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with the finance team to ensure effective financial management within the company.
  • Assist with other accounting projects in the finance department as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in real estate industry is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
