Job Summary
The Payments Officer is responsible for overseeing and monitoring payment transactions to ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time. This role involves handling high volumes of transactions, prioritizing urgent payments, and ensuring proper documentation and security of checks.
- Monitor and review high volumes of payment transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure all payments comply with internal financial policies and external regulations.
- Perform periodic reconciliations to ensure payment accuracy and prevent duplicate or fraudulent payments.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the Payments Manager, highlighting payments team productivity, target SLAs, issues, and resolutions.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in payments processing or finance operations
- Proven experience handling high-volume transactions
