Accounts Payable Officer (30K40K | Remote | FREE AI Certification)

Anywhere in the Philippines | Remote | 6:00 AM3:00 PM | MondayFriday

You own defined Accounts Payable outputs that support the financial operations of a Sydney-based client, ensuring vendor invoices are processed, coded, and paid with absolute precision. Your work follows established Australian accounting standards, internal controls, and documented escalation paths aligned with client expectations.

This is not a reactive support role. You operate within clear scopes, manage the AP inbox, and are trusted to execute payment runs and resolve discrepancies independently. Best suited for finance professionals who thrive in structured environments, value technical accuracy, and prefer clear operational expectations over ambiguity.

You're Likely a Strong Fit If You Have

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar finance roles
  • Proficiency with Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and reporting
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar systems

Responsibility Pillars

Invoice Governance & Payment Execution

You own the integrity of the ledger, ensuring every vendor request is validated and recorded without error.

  • Execute the accurate coding and timely processing of vendor invoices in NetSuite.
  • Manage the full payment run cycle and ensure all disbursements are executed on schedule.
  • Maintain the AP inbox as the primary contact point for vendor queries and resolution.

Compliance & Period-End Reporting

You transform raw financial data into audit-ready records that support the client's financial health.

  • Support month-end and year-end AP activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Ensure all processing complies with documented client policies and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain clean vendor master data to prevent duplicate payments or security risks.

Process Optimization & Collaboration

You act as a proactive partner, identifying ways to reduce friction in the accounting cycle.

  • Identify and drive process enhancements that improve accuracy and reduce manual rework.
  • Collaborate directly with the Sydney-based finance team to ensure alignment on reporting deadlines.
  • Standardize documentation for AP workflows to ensure continuity and scalability.
