Job Description

The Accounts Payable Associate position is part of the eScreen entity located in Kansas City, MO, which is within the Toxicology Business Unit of Abbott Rapid Diagnostics. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments for goods and services received by the Company, while also supporting various ad hoc accounts payable and general accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and process invoices through accurate data entry, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies
  • Perform a three-way match of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to validate transactions before payment
  • Assist in the coordination of ACH and check payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues, providing professional and timely responses
  • Assist with vendor onboarding and maintenance, including setting up new vendors and updating existing records
  • Support the escheatment process by tracking outstanding checks, reaching out to vendors, processing payments for escheatment, and ensuring overall compliance with Abbott policy
  • Facilitate and monitor purchase order approvals, collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely processing
  • Support various ad hoc accounts payable and general accounting activities, including month-end close
  • Contribute to process improvements, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in AP operations
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:

  • Associate's Degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
