Job Overview

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, maintaining compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and supporting smooth month-end closing activities.

The position plays a key role in safeguarding financial accuracy, strengthening supplier relationships, and supporting overall finance operations through close coordination with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure invoices are accurate and properly supported by delivery receipts, receiving reports, purchase orders, and quotations.
  • Enter supplier invoices into the ERP system, ensuring correct classification of VAT and withholding taxes.
  • Prepare and maintain BIR-related monthly reports, including expanded withholding taxes, input/output VAT, and final withholding taxes.
  • File VAT relief and alphalists for withholding taxes in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Reconcile input VAT and expanded withholding taxes against corresponding expense accounts.
  • Prepare supplier accruals during month-end closing activities.
  • Perform reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Support audits and internal reviews by maintaining accurate documentation and records.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related business discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
