Accounts Assistant (40K | Onsite | FREE AI Certification)

Cebu City | Onsite | 8:00 AM5:00 PM | MondayFriday

ROLE OVERVIEW

Join our dynamic team as an Accounts Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable and receivable processes. You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, managing customer accounts, and assisting in reconciling financial statements. By supporting payroll activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, you will contribute to the overall financial health of our organization.

In this position, you will also assist with month-end close activities, ensuring precise financial reporting and documentation. Your proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and Excel will support your success in this role, along with your keen attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under supervision.

You're Likely a Strong Fit If You Have

  • Experience with accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable.
  • Strong Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and compliance regulations.

Strong Signals

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting (or currently pursuing).
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience with financial reporting and working with auditors.

Accounts Payable

You will manage supplier relationships and ensure timely and accurate processing of payment.

  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders or approvals.
  • Prepare and schedule payments through various methods (EFT, BPAY, checks).
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records.

Accounts Receivable

You will be responsible for the financial interactions with our customers, ensuring timely revenue collection.

  • Raise and manage customer invoices accurately.
  • Allocate receipts and reconcile debtor accounts efficiently.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and assist with credit control measures.
  • Maintain detailed customer account information.

Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations

You will support the financial integrity of the organization by ensuring accurate financial records.

  • Conduct daily or weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile petty cash and company credit cards.
  • Assist with balance sheet schedules as necessary.
