The Role:

Work Schedule: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM Eastern Standard Time (10:30 PM – 7:30 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
- Experience: 7+ years of full-cycle accounting experience preferred, ideally in a multi-client environment, accounting firm, or outsourced accounting services
- Skills:
- Experience working with U.S.-based clients (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Leadership experience with ability to delegate, oversee quality, and guide junior team members
- Experience managing 30+ clients, or at least 15 larger clients
- Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred but not required
- Client-facing experience, including presenting financial reports and explaining financial results
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Strong ability in data management, analytics, and reporting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Accounting Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to clients
- Schedule MS Teams video calls with clients to review financial reports
- Present financial statements, KPI reports, and variance analyses during monthly and quarterly client meetings
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with assigned clients and CPAs
Delegation & Review Responsibilities
- Manage and delegate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks
- Perform monthly bookkeeping reviews for complex client accounts
- Ensure the team maintains updated client checklists in Karbon
- Review QuickBooks file clean-ups for newly onboarded clients
- Train team members on new client assignments as needed
- Delegate bookkeeping and accounting tasks as clients are onboarded
- Serve as the first escalation point for complex accounting issues and ad hoc requests
- Train Accounting Assistants on how to review their own work effectively
- Provide guidance on variances in monthly, quarterly, and annual adjustments and reconciliations
- Review payroll transmissions processed by the accounting team
- Review and guide resolution of variances in quarterly payroll tax returns and reconciliations
- Review and provide guidance on complex monthly and quarterly sales tax filings
- Interpret IRS updates and communicate key compliance requirements to the team
- Review bills entered in Bill.com by the accounting team or AP Specialist as needed
- Review invoices created in QuickBooks Online or Bill.com as needed
Additional Responsibilities (as needed)
- Develop annual budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Lead accounting catch-up and clean-up projects for newly assigned clients
Administrative & Miscellaneous Responsibilities
- Operate in alignment with company core values when solving problems
- Enter time daily in Karbon
- Manage calendars and coordinate workload schedules
- Schedule weekly team meetings as needed
- Support 1:1 check-ins focused on goals, performance, and development
- Attend daily team huddles
- Participate in trainings and workshops
- Support adoption of new ERP systems, tools, and process improvements
