Role Description

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, supervising accounting staff, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role supports the organization's financial integrity through effective monitoring, review, and leadership of accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily accounting operations
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing
• Prepare and review financial reports and schedules
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or process improvements
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Monitor cash flow and expense management
• Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff performance
• Establish and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
• Coordinate with other departments regarding financial concerns
• Perform other accounting and supervisory duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
• CPA license is preferred but not required
• At least 3–5 years of accounting experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
