Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in Accounting
  • Preferably with FS preparation / reporting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial statements
  • Proficiency in accounting software and microsoft excel and etc.
  • Excellent organizational communication skills and interpersonal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Near Poblacion Makati

Accounting Supervisor

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the preparation of financial statements for assigned business units and for the full management of all local and national tax-related matters of the company. The role ensures compliance with applicable tax laws, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards, identifies and corrects accounting issues, and works closely with the Accounting Manager to improve accounting processes and reporting quality. The Accounting Supervisor supports management, audits, and regulatory reporting while serving as the primary technical resource for tax compliance.

Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Financial Statement Preparation (Business Units)
  • Prepare accurate and complete financial statements for assigned business units on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company accounting policies.
  • Prepare and review supporting schedules, reconciliations, and disclosures.
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and coordinate corrections with accounting staff and the Accounting Manager.
  • Tax Compliance (Local and National)
  • Solely manage all local and national tax matters of the company.
  • Prepare, review, and file all required tax returns and statutory tax reports accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with income tax, withholding tax, VAT/GST, and other applicable taxes.
  • Prepare tax computations, tax provisions, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate directly with tax authorities regarding filings, assessments, audits, and inquiries.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
  • Advise management and accounting staff on tax implications of transactions and operations.
  • Regulatory and Statutory Compliance
  • Prepare and submit regulatory and statutory reports required by govt agencies and regulators.
  • Monitor compliance deadlines and ensure timely submission of all required filings.
  • Maintain complete and accurate compliance documentation and records.
  • Support the Accounting Manager in regulatory reviews, inspections, and examinations.
  • Financial Reporting Review and Management Support
  • Review general ledger balances and accounting records for accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify misstatements, inconsistencies, or compliance gaps in financial data.
  • Recommend corrections and assist the Accounting Manager in implementing process improvements.
  • Assist in preparing consolidated, management, and ad hoc financial reports as assigned.
  • Technical Accounting Review and Process Improvement
  • Perform technical reviews of accounting treatments, classifications, and journal entries.
  • Identify accounting errors, recurring issues, or control weaknesses.
  • Work with the Accounting Manager to improve accounting workflows, controls, and documentation.
  • Assist in developing and updating accounting policies and procedures.
  • Coordination with Accounting and Treasury
  • Coordinate with the Senior Accountant and accounting staff to resolve issues affecting financial statements.
  • Work with the Treasury Assistant on cash, receivable, and bank-related matters impacting reporting.
  • Ensure alignment between treasury data, accounting records, and financial statements.
  • Audit and External Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tax-related audits and examinations.
  • Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Support financial statement audits and regulatory audits under the direction of the Accounting Manager.
  • Assist in addressing audit findings and implementing corrective actions.
  • Guidance and Knowledge Sharing
  • Provide technical guidance to accounting staff on tax compliance, reporting, and regulatory matters.
  • Communicate updates on tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal training and process improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Assist the Accounting Manager in financial, regulatory, and management reporting as assigned.
  • Perform other accounting, tax, and compliance-related tasks as required.
