Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Accounting Supervisor is a part-time, onsite position that is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, guiding financial decisions, and developing a strategic company picture by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Oversee the accounting operations, monitoring, assisting, and leading the Accounting Group
- Oversee the completion of internal control audits and facilitate changes to the controls when an error or the potential for error or fraud identified
- Establish and improve system controls for new and existing financial systems, and participate in system implementation through coordination and leadership of the accounting functions
- Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
- Provide analysis of financial results with a corresponding recommendation
- Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategy initiative and operational execution
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in finance and/or accounting, with at least 2 years in leadership role
- Certified Public Accountant is preferred
- Understanding and knowledge of accounting systems
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Financial report and analysis
- MS Office Applications, advance MS Office Excel
