Job Summary

The Accounting Supervisor supports the Accounting Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Accounting Department. The role ensures accurate and efficient management of financial processes including disbursements, billing and collections, royalty monitoring, payroll support, and financial reporting.

The position is responsible for reviewing accounting documents, monitoring receivables and cash flow, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. The Accounting Supervisor also supervises accounting staff and works closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Accounting Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Accounting Department.
  • Supervise accounting staff and ensure the accurate and timely completion of accounting tasks.
  • Review and verify invoices, vouchers, payment requests, and billing documents.
  • Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and receivables to support effective financial management.
  • Maintain and assist in preparing financial reports and financial statements.
  • Track and monitor the flow of royalties from billing and collection to distribution.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll, employee incentives, and other confidential financial matters.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners such as licensees, members, auditors, and banks regarding accounting-related concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Financial Accounting, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
  • Knowledgeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in accounting systems or financial software
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Experience in a Non-Stock/Non-Profit organization is an advantage
