Job Description
Supervise, develop and motivate personnel and monitor the day to day activity of the Accounting Services department to ensure achievement of corporate objectives and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that invoices, monthly billing packages, etc are completed timely and accurately. In addition to meeting the specific requirements of each client.
- Promotes activities that result in the achievement of billing goals.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Assists the manager with supervising staff including: providing performance feedback, personnel issues, coaching, staff development and training.
- Analyzes department statistics and responds by allocating work, staff and talent to support appropriate levels of production and quality to achieve departmental expectations.
- Communicates issues, decisions and other related activities to appropriate personnel as necessary.
- Coordinates and develops projects/improvements with department Supervisors, Managers and other personnel.
- Develops staff members to meet the expectations set for each position within assigned area of responsibility. Provides staff with on-going training and coaching as needed and motivates and promotes individual professional goals.
- Prepares reports for management upon request.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
- Five or more years of experience in accounting is required with some experience in lead/supervisory role.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment while participating in a team atmosphere.

- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the basic operations of the Business Unit including an understanding of systems and software.
