Accounting Specialist
Seeking an Accounting Specialist to support our accounting operations. This is a multifunctional role responsible for General Ledger and Sales & Use Tax areas.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger
o Prepare and post recurring journal entries (Prepaids, Debt, Fixed Assets, Credit Cards)
Sales and Use Tax
o Prepare monthly Sales and Use Tax returns and coordinate payment
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Educational background required / desired:
Bachelor's Degree or Associate degree in Accountancy or Accounting Technology
Or equivalent to 2 to 3 years of experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably in a
small/medium-sized business
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Accounting degree or equivalent experience preferred
Qualifications required / desired:
Proficient in accounting, billing, and high-volume data entry
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Ability to use accounting software and spreadsheets to record, track, and analyze financial data
Proficient in accounting, billing, and high-volume data entry
Experienced in accurately processing invoices with minimal to no errors
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
Maintains a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial transactions
