Role Description

Operating within the dynamic and highly regulated Philippine banking industry, this role requires strict adherence to both internal corporate policies and external regulatory standards. The position works closely with other unit/ sections and external auditors, demanding a high level of accuracy and ethical conduct.

This role is critical for the accurate preparation and reporting of the branch's financial data, directly influencing management decisions and regulatory compliance. The position manages a variety of accounting tasks and reports, which are essential for maintaining the bank's financial transparency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Accurately manage all accounting records, ensuring that financial data is correctly recorded and reconciled.
  • Utilize and manage tax and accounting-related software/ system (Aither, EFPS, etc.) for various financial tasks, including ledger management and transaction processing.
  • Ensure all financial documentation is meticulously organized and stored, adhering to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial information and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting tax-related reports to regulatory bodies such as Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and SEC as required.
  • Precise and correct recording, classification, and tracking of admin-related expenses to ensure proper allocation and reporting.
  • Fulfill any additional tasks assigned by management.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant / 5+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Statements and Taxation
  • Proficiency in using accounting and tax-related systems/ software
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial principles
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to details and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines
  • Prior work experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred.
