Location: MAKATI CITY (ONSITE); START ASAP
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Oversight - Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial statements are prepared accurately and on time.
- General Ledger Management - Oversee general ledger functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
- Budgeting & Forecasting - Prepare the development of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts to support organizational goals.
- Compliance - Ensure all accounting activities adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), local laws, internal policies, and BIR regulations.
- Reporting - Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analyses for management to support operational and strategic decision-making. This also includes preparation and submission of reports to BIR
Staff Supervision and Support
- Review and monitor the work of junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
- Provide guidance and coaching on accounting processes and best practices to support professional development and performance.
Process Improvement - Evaluate and streamline internal controls and bookkeeping procedures to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or a related field.
- CPA designation is an advantage but not required.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to reviewing or coordinating the work of junior staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, spreadsheet applications, and accounting systems.
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, financial reporting standards, BIR compliance and taxation, and other regulatory requirements.
- Experience in preparing financial statements, general ledger functions, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
- Good leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
