Job Description

Role Description

The Accounting Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati. This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements. Daily tasks include recording and reconciling transactions, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring timely posting and accuracy in accounting systems. The role involves supporting monthly and annual closing activities, assisting in audits, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies. The Accounting Officer also contributes to process improvements, adherence to compliance standards, and preparation of management reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Perform accounts reconciliation, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
  • Prepare and submit regulatory and statutory reports in compliance with government requirements.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Prepare management reports and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant tax, regulatory, and compliance requirements in the Philippine financial services sector is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in a brokerage, banking, or financial services environment is an advantage.
