What is the job

The Accounting Manager is responsible in leading accounting operations and financial reporting for multiple assigned clients. This role oversees full-cycle accounting activities, including month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements, while managing and mentoring a team of staff accountants.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

• Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports while resolving discrepancies.

• Supervise, mentor, and support staff accountants to improve performance and efficiency.

• Oversee general ledger accuracy, balance sheet integrity, and client financial records.

• Implement process improvements, support audits, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams while utilizing QuickBooks Online and other accounting tools to deliver timely and accurate financial results.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• At least 5 years of accounting/finance experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Experience in public accounting or client accounting services.

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and client management.

• Proven leadership, team mentoring, and ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.

• Experience in healthcare or construction accounting and accounting automation tools is an advantage.

• Must have stable employment history.
