Job Description

JOB SUMMARY 

The Accounting Manager oversees all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to produce reliable financial statements. Additionally, the Accounting Manager leads and supervises the accounting team, ensuring tasks are properly allocated, efficiently executed, and completed with precision. 


RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop and implement the company's overall accounting strategy to support business objectives. 
  • Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including branch accounting processes. 
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards. 
  • Supervise general accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, varianc   e analysis, asset reconciliation, and debt activity. 
  • Establish and enforce credit and collections policies for customers and payment policies for suppliers. 
  • Monitor, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of accounting data. 
  • Ensure adherence to proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. 
  • Lead and develop the accounting team by setting goals, managing performance, providing training, and fostering strong employee relationships. 
  • Train and onboard new accounting employees. 
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships. 
  • Ensure full compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations and other relevant financial laws. 
  • Establish, maintain, and improve financial policies and procedures for the company. 
  • Meet financial accounting objectives and provide insights for business decision-making. 
  • Prepare and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial reports to stakeholders. 
  • Adapt to changes and take on additional responsibilities as needed for the company’s overall growth. 

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

    Educational Attainment and Experience: 

    • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field. 
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred. 
    • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role. 
    • Experience in financial reporting, taxation (BIR compliance), and audit processes. 

     Skills: 

    • Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and tax compliance. 
    • Leadership and people management skills. 
    • Analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. 
    • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work under pressure. 
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
