Job Description :

Financial Management & Reporting

Lead the preparation and accuracy of monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

Own month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and data integrity.

Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Analyze financial results and prepare management reports highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.

Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Accounting Operations

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Ensure proper accounting for sales, inventory, shrinkage, and cost of goods sold.

Maintain accounting systems and procedures aligned with retail operations and store processes.

Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering

Support the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analyses.

Partner with operations and management to monitor performance against financial targets.

Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to support business decisions.

Identify financial risks and opportunities across brands and escalate issues with practical recommendations.

Audit & Compliance

Manage internal and external audit requirements.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory reporting, and company financial policies.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership

Supervise, coach, and develop accounting staff.

Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, HR, and marketing to align financial practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Background in retail, FMCG, or distribution industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
