Job Description

The Accounting Manager will provide relevant, accurate, complete, and timely financial reports to Management. He or she will implement accounting methods, internal controls, policies and procedures in safeguarding the company's assets.

Report Management:

  • Delivers the financial reports to management within the agreed timeframe and format.
  • Reviews the income statements and notes to the financial statements.
  • If necessary, analyze all pertinent financial information in relation to the review of income statements and notes to financial statements.
  • Reviews general ledger, balance sheet accounts, reconciliations, and substantiations.
  • Assists in handling concerns from internal and external customers with financial reports.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Identifies potential areas for improvement, recommends appropriate policies and procedures, and internal controls.

People Management:

  • Manages processors and validators that are responsible in the day-to-day operations.
  • Performs consistent and effective coaching sessions to address performance gaps. Attends necessary training programs.

Job Requirements:

  • At least six (6) years of work experience in general accounting and financial reporting, three (3) years at least of which is with a managerial or supervisory function. Work experience in internal/external financial audit can also be considered.
  • Preferably with experience in managing new teams focused on providing shared services capability.
  • Adept in the use of MS Office Applications (especially MS Excel).
  • Preferably with experience in SAP or other ERPs/specialty solutions.
  • Ability to develop team members and champion strong positive team spirit.
  • Proficient in the performance of account reconciliations.
  • Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a lean organization.
  • Ability to provide high standards of customer care.
  • Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes.
