Group Close Restructuring and Restatements AVP

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

The Group Close team governs the monthly Financial process that provides a golden source of financial information data set upon which all internal and external reporting is based. Restructuring and Restatements is responsible for the governance of the organizational restructuring process and with these changes, the team also has oversight on the movement of financials to ensure it is aligned accordingly for steering purposes and comparability reasons.

Your role will help hone your stakeholder management skills as you will have the opportunity to closely interact with different levels of the Organization such as but not limited to Finance Directors, Finance teams, Business Divisions, and other support functions.

Your key responsibilities

The role is a team lead role responsible for process, risk, stakeholder, and people management to ensure timely and accurate delivery of restructuring and restatements (R&R) process, act as the main lead in governing the overall process of R&R. It includes execution, and implementation of strategy to meet the yearly targets and objectives of the Division, proactively manage Process Risk using available tools and technology, build team resiliency, ensuring cross-training and back-ups are in place, act as SME process expert that provide guidance and advisory in navigating through various process issues and formulate training plan for the team, utilize and analyze operational metrics for decision-making, manage stakeholders, drive change through innovation, projects and change implementation, support people development through career planning and coaching, and acting as a role model while supporting tough people decisions to ensure people performance is aligned with organisation imperatives and needs. Addresses individual performance issues, where necessary, to drive for high performance.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, or its Business-related equivalents with Accounting courses
  • Background in the fields of Accounting, Finance or Audit of Banking or Financial Services industry with at least 8 years of solid experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinking skills and with strong ability to implement/achieve strategies
  • Stakeholder, people and process management skills
  • A team player who is collaborative yet able to work independently
  • Knowledgeable in SAP and updated in Accounting and IFRS policies.
  • Amenable to midshift: 12pm to 9pm
