Job Overview
We are hiring a strategic and results-driven
Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function of a growing retail organization. This role requires a strong finance professional with expertise in financial reporting, compliance, inventory management, and business partnering to support operational and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Manage inventory accounting and reconciliation processes.
- Monitor compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
- Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and controls.
- Partner with business leaders to provide financial analysis and recommendations.
- Coordinate annual audits and regulatory examinations.
- Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including managerial experience.
- Strong experience as an Accounting Manager within the Retail industry.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, financial planning, and internal controls.
- Experience in start-up companies is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
