Job Description

(Preferred Educational background, educational level, Certifications required if any)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in an Accounting Manager or similar leadership role
Strong knowledge of BIR compliance (VAT, WHT, Income Tax)
Experience in preparing financial statements and management reports
Proficient in MS Office and accounting systems Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines
Willing to work under an agency employment arrangement
Preferably residing near CEBU City..

Experience Required:
- Prior experience as an Accounting Supervisor
- Experience of working with MS Office and accounting software (e.g. SAP,QuickBooks)
- Over 35 years of work experience (especially experience dealing with BIR tax and audits) - Experience preparing financial statements

Preferred
CPA license or MBA degree(Required Skill Sets)

Key Responsibilities General Accounting & Financial Operations
Supervise day-to-day accounting activities including AR/AP, general ledger management, and month-end closing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, prepare journal entries, and perform bank/account reconciliations.
Handle month-end requirements such as accruals, amortizations, and necessary adjustments. Monitor accrued expenses and ensure timely preparation and reversal of entries.
Prepare financial statements and management reports to support operational and strategic decisions.

Tax Compliance (BIR)
Ensure full compliance with BIR requirements and submit all applicable tax filings (VAT, WHT, ITR, annual returns, etc.).
Prepare supporting schedules, inventory lists, and statutory documentation.
Manage BIR registration matters for new and existing sites, including updates and amendments. Assist in preparing documentation for BIR Letters of Authority (LOA), tax reviews, and audits.

PEZA Reporting & Government Compliance
Manage all PEZA-related reporting obligations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions.
Prepare PEZA performance reports, incentive documentation, and compliance schedules.
Monitor PEZA-registered activities, importation documents, and inventory movements as required. Coordinate with PEZA officers during site inspections, compliance audits, and reviews.
Process and renew PEZA permits, certifications, and amendments for company operations.

Business Permits & Licensing
Assist in securing and renewing business permits and operational licenses for new and existing sites.
Coordinate with LGUs and government agencies to ensure all permits are submitted, approved, and renewed on time.
Maintain an updated tracking system for permit expirations and regulatory deadlines.

Audits, Leadership & Process Improvement
Coordinate with both internal and external auditors, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
Lead, mentor, and support the finance and accounting team to foster a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
Review current processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Provide financial insights to support management in strategic planning and operational decision-making.
