The AccountingManager drives financial governance for a high-volume marketplace environment, ensuring integrity across revenue streams, reporting cycles, and compliance frameworks. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3 to 5 years of month-end close or public accounting experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze information and resolve issues at the root cause
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines consistently
- Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems, NetSuite preferred
- Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Other Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in distribution accounting
- Experience in e-commerce, online retail, or high-volume transactional environments
- Background in public accounting
- Experience with NetSuite and MicrosoftDynamics
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary accounting lead for the Marketplace business unit with full ownership of P&L and balance sheet accuracy
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Oversee marketplace revenue accounting, including gross versus net presentation, incentives, refunds, chargebacks, and allowances in accordance with ASC 606
- Manage, prepare, and review month-end close activities for all marketplace entities and ensure all entries, reconciliations, and analyses are accurate and on schedule
- Partner with business, FP&A, and operations leadership to support forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and key performance metric reporting
- Partner with Legal, Operations, and Product teams on marketplace initiatives, contractual terms, and related accounting implications
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with audit requirements and identify and resolve control gaps
- Serve as the primary accounting liaison for external audits related to the Marketplace business
- Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation to support scalability and transaction volume growth
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff and promote accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
- Support system enhancements or ERP initiatives impacting inventory, sales, and revenue accounting
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Complete 95% or more of assigned monthly close tasks within the assigned timeframe
- Prepare 92% or more journal entries accurately on the first submission
- Complete assigned reconciliations and lead sheets accurately and on time based on the published month-end close calendar
