Job Summary
We are seeking a
Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance activities. The role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while providing management with timely financial insights.
Candidates with experience in
Retail, FMCG, Distribution, or other high-volume consumer businesses are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial schedules.
- Monitor financial reporting for sales, inventory, cost of goods sold, and operating expenses.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Accounting Standards and tax requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements.
- Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
- Review accounting policies and ensure consistent implementation across operations.
- Provide financial analysis and explanations for significant account movements and variances.
- Lead and develop the Accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA is preferred.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience with managerial or supervisory experience.
- Strong background in financial reporting and general accounting.
- Retail experience is highly preferred, particularly from companies with multiple stores, branches, or high-volume transactions.
- Experience with inventory, COGS, sales, and retail-related accounting is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine Accounting Standards and taxation.
- Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
