Key Responsibilities

  • Managed cash flow activities by monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly movements to ensure adequate funding for operations and investments. Prepared forecasts and reports, supporting effective liquidity planning and optimal use of funds.
  • Handled tax compliance through the BIR EFPS system, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of required returns. Coordinated with external consultants and tax authorities as needed.
  • Performed cost analysis for products and services, maintaining updated costing records and identifying opportunities for cost efficiency. Provided data to support pricing decisions and profitability assessments.
  • Oversaw accounting for import transactions, including proper recording of entries and ensuring accurate computation and timely payment of duties and taxes. Worked closely with customs brokers to maintain compliance and complete documentation.
  • Conducted internal audits to evaluate accounting processes and internal controls, identifying risks and discrepancies while recommending and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepared monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and collaborated with external auditors during audits. Delivered insights and recommendations based on financial performance.
  • Monitored inventory management processes, including physical counts, reconciliation with the general ledger, and implementation of controls to minimize losses and ensure accurate valuation.
  • Assessed production efficiency by reviewing workflows, machine utilization, and waste levels. Identified areas for improvement to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Provided advisory support to management by recommending process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and suggesting enhancements to ERP systems. Contributed insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required
  • Relevant experience in a supervisory or managerial accounting role
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and strong proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong analytical thinking, leadership capability, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
