Job Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, coordinating budget preparation, and managing financial audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing Accounting Functions: Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analyses and commentary for management review.
  • Audit Management: Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all internal policies and applicable laws and regulations. Oversee and ensure timely and accurate submission of all required reports and filings with government agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and Board of Investments (BOI), as well as other relevant regulatory bodies. Monitor regulatory updates and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
  • Team Development: Develop and train junior accounting staffs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Preferably with CPA License
  • At least 10 years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and taxation.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other business-related software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
