Job Description

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The role oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations, while supporting forecasting, budgeting, and audits.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
  • Oversee payroll processing for assigned entities, including multi-entity and multi-currency accounts.
  • Manage and review accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, audits, and tax coordination activities.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain financial control and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international GAAP and company accounting standards.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives within the accounting department.
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff to ensure professional growth and high-quality deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit preparation and review.
  • Utilize ERP or accounting systems to maintain data accuracy and streamline reporting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent).
  • Has at least 5 years background in U.S. GAAP or international accounting principles.
  • Manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and mentor staff.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable to fast-paced work environments.
  • Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Work Setup: Work From Home

Work Schedule: 9:00 PM 6:00 AM Philippine time, Monday to Friday
