About the job
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, adherence to government regulations, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
What you'll do:
- Formulates, develops, and implements accounting policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Benchmarks with best practices and keeps the company abreast and updated on latest trends in accounting tools, systems and processes in order to further enhance and streamline the efficient workflow of the department to make it more relevant to the changing needs and demands of the business.
- Develops and implements the company's financial management reporting systems.
- Represents the company to government agencies (BIR and BOI) for audits, negotiations, and compliance.
- Monitors ongoing issuances of memorandum circulars from the Bureau of Internal Revenue and keeps top management abreast on new tax laws and amendments thereby provides assistance in identifying tax implications and be able to recommend measures for tax avoidance and help the company from legal risks and exposures.
- Develops budgetary plans, programs, and guidelines to ensure strict adherence with financial controls, guidelines and requirements.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
- With at least five (5) years of relevant managerial experience, particularly in Real Estate Accounting, BOI Project Registration, Application of Certificate of Entitlement, and other compliance.
- Preparation of Accounting Reports related to the closing of BIR LOA and Audited Financial Statements.
- Handling of mandatory government compliance.
- Willing to work inMAKATI.
