The Accounting Staff Bookkeeping is responsible for recording, organizing, and maintaining financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner. The role focuses on day-to-day bookkeeping tasks such as encoding transactions, preparing vouchers, reconciling records, and assisting with statutory reports and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update journals, ledgers, and subsidiary records.
- Prepare and encode accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
- Record daily sales, purchases, collections, and disbursements.
- Prepare checks, vouchers, and other supporting documents for transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, cash reports, and inventory records.
- Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Help with BIR compliance tasks (e.g., 2307, VAT returns, 2550M/Q, 1601C).
- Organize and file accounting documents and records systematically.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing necessary documents.
- Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and other departments on financial transactions.
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or Finance.
- At least 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Fresh graduates with strong accounting internship experience may be considered.
- Familiarity with Philippine tax laws and BIR forms is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and basic accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
