Job Description

The Accounting Associate provides essential support to the Finance Department by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, bank reconciliations, fixed asset monitoring, importation accounting, and statutory compliance. The role is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate accounting records while ensuring adherence to company policies, tax regulations, and government reporting requirements.

Job Description

  • Process and monitor company disbursements including supplier payments, employee reimbursements, cash advances, and petty cash transactions while ensuring complete documentation.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with banks to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Maintain and monitor fixed assets, including asset recording, tagging, transfers, disposals, and preparation of monthly depreciation schedules.
  • Record and reconcile importation transactions, ensuring proper computation and allocation of landed costs to inventory or fixed assets.
  • Handle statutory compliance such as preparation and remittance of government contributions and filing of tax returns including withholding taxes, VAT, and annual compensation reports.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing, maintain organized accounting records, and support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor or Finance Controller.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or any related Finance course.
  • At least 12 years of relevant accounting experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge in general accounting, bank reconciliation, taxation, and statutory compliance is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with BIR reporting requirements, government remittances, and basic financial documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Willing to work onsite in Makati.
