Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Associate to manage day-to-day accounting and project financial tracking across multiple real estate development projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Reporting
- Review, approve, and track all invoices
- Maintain general ledger and record journal entries
- Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
- Track project contingencies and budget health
Project Accounting
- Track construction draws and development budgets
- Maintain change order logs
- Prepare monthly requisitions and support lender reporting
- Perform job cost tracking and variance analysis
- Reconcile and balance multiple project accounts simultaneously
Cash Management
- Prepare monthly cash flow reports and forecasts
- Monitor project and corporate account balances
Administrative Support
- Assist with document requests, RFPs, and bid leveling
- Respond to accounting requests from clients and vendors
- Maintain organized digital financial records
- Support audits and lender reviews
Qualifications:
- 5+ years accounting experience (real estate or construction preferred)
- Must have direct lender draws and requisition experience
- Strong Excel skills (reconciliations, reporting, budget tracking)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and reliability
- Strong written English
