Accounting Associate

Job Description

Role Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant I to join our commercial finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our financial records accurate, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and ensuring we meet all reporting standards. You will focus closely on tracking our company assets and clearing supply chain transactions to support the broader sales business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Asset Tracking: Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposal using the SAP fixed asset module.

• Account Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reviews and reconciliations of general ledger accounts, focusing on accruals and Property, Plant, & Equipment (PP&E).

• Supply Chain Clearing: Analyze, resolve, and report on Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) account discrepancies.

• Control Testing: Review and test internal control systems to ensure alignment with corporate compliance standards.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate journal entries, support balance sheet budgeting, and assist with special data projects using PowerBI.

Qualifications:

• Basic: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, a solid grasp of basic accounting principles, and strong Excel skills.

• Preferred: 3-5 years of accounting experience, a CPA license, and hands-on experience using SAP.
