As an Accounting Assistant, we are seeking an energetic and inquisitive
Accounting Assistant who's passionate about learning, great with numbers, and dedicated to delivering outstanding, individual results while working as part of a high performing team. The
Accounting Assistant will collaborate with a team of talented Accounting and Finance specialists to support client's goal of transforming companies.
Role Responsibilities
- Participate in the Month, Quarter, and Annual Close Process
- Process a high volume of third-party revenue transactions
- Perform routine data maintenance and ERP system hygiene
- Leverage multiple communication channels including Email, Phone, and Microsoft Teams, to engage with internal and external stakeholders regarding account inquiries
- Assist with internal audits and complete special projects, as assigned
Day In The Life Of Our Accounting Assistant
- Enter and update client data in our ERP system (Acumatica)
- Respect Service Level Agreement (SLA) Standards in managing multiple emailinboxes and email distributions
- Record Sage publisher commission transactions
- Assist Accounts Receivable Specialist with recordation of customer receipts
- Execute collection automation, enter supportive documentation in ERP andcoordinate communication related to billing disputes
- Run reports to identify variances; research and assist team in resolvingdiscrepancies
- Attend weekly touch-point meeting with manager, team, and company meetings asrequired
- Manage and bill monthly and annual customer subscriptions
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred OR equivalent experience
- Atleast 2-4 years of Accounting experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
- Demonstrates proficiency with software applications:
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
- Experience with ERP software required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Highly detail oriented with an aptitude for problem solving using sound judgment.
- Ability to handle shifting priorities and balance multiple projects independently.
- Willingness to show initiative and display ownership of work
- Collaborates well with others to achieve overall organizational objectives
