We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team in Manila!

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our Manila finance team and support our international accounting operations across multiple entities. This role is ideal for someone with solid transactional accounting experience who is looking to develop further within a global finance function.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of core accounting principles and will take ownership of key finance processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and supporting month-end activities.
Key responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Take ownership of the AP process across multiple entities, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Review supplier invoices, verify approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare payment runs and ensure payments are accurately recorded.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Manage supplier queries and resolve issues promptly.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Take ownership of customer invoicing and ensure invoices are raised accurately and within deadlines.
- Allocate customer receipts and maintain accurate customer account records.
- Monitor aged receivables and support collection activities.
- Investigate and resolve AR discrepancies.
Placement Approvals
- Review and approve placements in Bullhorn in line with internal controls.
- Verify charge rates, pay rates, margins, dates, and commission splits.
- Ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
- Work with consultants and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
Staff Expenses
- Review and process employee expense claims in line with company policy.
- Verify receipts, coding, and approvals before posting.
- Ensure expenses are recorded accurately in Business Central.
- Resolve queries with employees where information is incomplete.
Bank & Reconciliations
- Post bank transactions and maintain accurate records in Business Central.
- Complete regular bank reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Investigate and clear reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Support ongoing improvements to reconciliation processes.
Controls & Process
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails.
- Follow financial controls and approval processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Support audit and compliance requirements when needed.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in AP, AR or transactional finance.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience working with international entities and multi-currency transactions is required.
- Recruitment or contractor environment experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to manage deadlines and volume.
- Clear communicator across teams and regions.
