Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant Manager to support the leadership of our accounting function and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This role is well-suited for a professional with strong technical expertise, supervisory experience, and hands-on involvement in reconciliations and closing processes.

WHAT IS THE JOB LIKE

  • Support the management of daily accounting operations, including general ledger, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards
  • Assist in leading month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled, reviewed, and supported with appropriate documentation
  • Monitor and review intercompany transactions, ensuring proper recording and alignment across entities
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and assist in audit requirements
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor team members to support their development and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial issues and support business needs

WHO ARE YOU

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or senior role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting processes
  • Hands-on experience in balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA, with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proven leadership ability and experience managing or guiding a team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
