Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented and dependable accounting professional with strong QuickBooks expertise We're looking for a Home-Based Accounting Assistant to join our DCX team and support a growing U.S.-based client in the Roofing industry. In this role, you will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, manage accounts payable and receivable, support reconciliations and reporting, and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date. This position is ideal for someone highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Data Entry & Storage: Entering data and ensuring the accuracy of financial information in accounting software. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Daily Finance: Assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. Monitoring and tracking company expenses and budgets.
  • Accounts Payables: Processing invoices, payments, and expense reports. Preparing weekly check runs based on cash flow.
  • Accounts Receivable: Ensuring efficient and accurate posting of invoice transactions upon client order completion. Routinely making collection contacts and issuing past-due notices and statements.
  • External Stakeholder Management: Communicating with vendors, suppliers, and customers to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Management Reporting: Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. Supporting the preparation of financial statements and other related financial reports.
  • Administrative Assistance: Providing administrative support to the finance team as needed.
  • Performs tasks analogous to the preceding.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Financial Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 13 years of general accounting experience or equivalent. Previous offshore experience is highly advantageous.
  • Language Proficiency: Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Working Schedule: Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within U.S. operating hours.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.
  • Knowledgeable using accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other relevant software.
  • In-depth understanding of accounts payable/receivables principles, accounting standards,and account reconciliation.
  • Previous working experience as an offshore staff is highly advantageous

  • Salary Range: PHP 45,000 - 50,000

  • Workdays: Monday through Friday (US)
