Job Summary
The Accounting and Compliance Associate is responsible for ensuring compliance with current tax and accounting reportorial requirements for assigned clients. This role involves maintaining accurate documentation, supporting process improvements, monitoring compliance risks, and providing timely reporting and communication to management and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure assigned clients comply with all current tax and accounting reportorial requirements.
Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation related to tax and accounting compliance.
Follow, uphold, and continuously improve internal accounting protocols and processes.
Prepare and submit monthly reports covering all assigned accounts.
Identify potential risks or compliance issues and recommend immediate corrective actions when necessary.
Communicate relevant updates, information, and approved guidance to clients within the scope of work.
Take accountability for assigned tasks and ensure timely completion to avoid penalties, compliance issues, or client dissatisfaction.
Support continuous improvements in accounting systems and operational processes.
Perform field work as required by business needs.
Stay updated on the latest accounting policies, regulations, and industry practices.
Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work culture.
Manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining quality output under pressure.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related field.
Experience in tax compliance, accounting, or financial reporting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of tax and accounting regulations is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Willing to perform field work when necessary.
Strong sense of accountability and professionalism.
