Job Description
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and book monthly journal entries for receivables, payables, including prepayments, accruals, and Capex.
- Diligently prepare various balance sheet account reconciliations and schedules, obtain necessary detailed transactions for the account, and investigate and correct reconciling items.
- Meticulously review account reconciliations submitted by other departments to ensure accuracy and correct any detected errors or omissions.
- Utilize analytical review techniques when reviewing journal entries, account activity, and account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting by identifying discrepancies or errors.
- Manage the accounting for fixed assets, including but not limited to creating fixed assets in the subledger, calculating and applying depreciation, ensuring accuracy of the lapsing schedule, and reconciling the fixed asset in progress account.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and methodically review accounts payable and disbursements entries to ensure accuracy of reporting.
- Provide insight into process inefficiencies and recommend process improvement strategies.
- Prepare various monthly financial reports and ad hoc reports including tax returns and schedules.
- Build and utilize working relationships with internal business partners across the organization.
- Consider health & safety as a primary concern to ensure the safety of self and others.
- Maintain all financial records to ensure accuracy by using appropriate accounting procedures and controls and protect company operations by keeping financial records confidential.
- Prepare adequate documentation in support of internal and external audits.
- Communicate with other departments for documents needed in recording a transaction.
- Perform duties of a similar or related level as necessary or assigned.
Qualification and Skills Requirement
Educational Attainment
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or any related field.
- Preferably CPA.
Work Experience
- 23 years of work experience in accounting and treasury.
Technical Competencies
- Basic technical finance or accounting knowledge.
- Basic knowledge in SAP or other related applications.
- Average proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
