As an Accountant, you will be a key contributor to our US tax and accounting division. This role is ideal for a professional with a solid foundation in US or PH tax who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will handle end-to-end accounting and tax compliance for a diverse range of North American clients, working as a technical extension of our US-based teams to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance during the US business day.
Your Impact
Full-Cycle Tax Preparation: Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax returns for individuals (1040), partnerships (1065), and corporations (1120). Under senior supervision, you will ensure all filings meet federal and state-specific requirements.
General Ledger Mastery: Manage all aspects of the General Ledger, including journal entries and complex account reconciliations for banks and credit cards. You will maintain organized accounting records to provide a clear financial picture for every client.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Draft financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. You will collect, analyze, and summarize account information and trends to prepare robust workpapers and management reports.
Operational Accounting: Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, including the timely processing of accounts receivable and payable. You will also assist with payroll and sales tax compliance to ensure a comprehensive service offering.
Onshore Collaboration: Communicate regularly with the U.S. accounting team to clarify data and resolve complex issues. You will ensure all deliverables are met on time while maintaining high-quality, well-documented support files.
What You Bring
The Experience:Minimum 1-2 years of experience in US or PH Tax. Experience in preparing tax returns and financial statements is essential.
The Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Technical Mastery: Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online. Familiarity with multi-state filings, estate & trust tax matters (1041), or US payroll tax is highly advantageous.
Compliance Knowledge: A strong understanding of US GAAP and the ability to prepare audit-ready workpapers.
Communication & Dedication: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with US counterparts. You are a self-starter with high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively during the night shift.
