Accountant

Our client is a leading manufacturer of hot melt adhesives, committed to delivering high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of their clients across various industries. With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, they have established as a trusted partner for businesses in the packaging, automotive, electronics, and medical sectors.

To cope with their expansion plan, they have already setup their 1st overseas factory in Poland, and Selangor factory will be the 2nd one. Therefore, they need a passionate accounting practitioner to join their team. Your main duty is to work with HQ SSC team to complete the accounting activities and monthly settlement on time.

Responsibilities:

• Report to International Finance Manager
• Manage full set of accounts for the Malaysia plant in line with local standards.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for HQ and regulators.
• Handle month-end closing, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Coordinate with HQ Shared Service Center on AP, AR, fixed assets, and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws and statutory requirements; liaise with auditors and tax agents.
• Oversee cash flow, bank reconciliations, and payment execution within authorization limits.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and support statutory/internal audits.
• Strengthen internal controls and recommend process improvements.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations (income tax, SST, WHT).
• Proven ability to handle a full set of accounts independently.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with internal controls, audit processes, and accounting systems.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with HQ SSC.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English and Chinese.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
