Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Accountant with strong expertise in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and taxation. The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure the accuracy and timely updating of financial records, and play a key role in preparing financial statements and managing tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee daily bookkeeping and accounting operations
- Ensure accurate and timely recording, updating, and maintenance of financial records
- Review journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations prepared by accounting staff
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (FS) including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements
- Perform and review bank and account reconciliations
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes
- Maintain organized financial documentation for audit and regulatory purposes
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and internal controls
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to junior accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 35 years of relevant accounting experience, with supervisory or leadership exposure
- Strong background in bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and taxation
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- High level of integrity in handling confidential financial information
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage
- Experience handling BIR compliance and tax audits
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and process improvement
